1. If I knew absolutely nothing about The Hedrons,
how would you describe the group’s music to me?
-- We are a punk rock band. Our sound could be described
as trashy, exciting and very energetic.
2. If I were to buy your new album One More Won't
Kill Us,
what songs should I pay particular attention to and why?
-- Be My Friend, Heatseeker and One More Won't
Kill Me - they would give you a good idea of our overall sound.
3. When and where did the band form, and where did the
name come from? -- We all met at
a rehearsal studio in Glasgow. We were playing with other bands at the time
and as we got to know each other at the coffee machine we thought it would
be a good idea to arrange a rehearsal for a laugh. We had no idea that it
would have worked, but here we are, having the time of our lives!
4.
What was your worst on stage experience? What was your
best?
-- My worse experience was when a very drunk girl
pulled my top down when I was wandering in the audience, I got her back
though! Best experience, too many to mention but the Download and Isle
of Wight festival’s 2007 were stunning. At Download I was crowd
surfing for what felt like ten minutes and at Isle of Wight I cheekily
used Mick Jaggers walkway and walked right down the middle of the crowd
- it was such a buzz!!!
5. Do you think that the Internet (whether it be Internet
radio, legal downloading, MySpace, streaming audio, etc.) is a good tool
for musicians or is it a bad thing because it hinders profits?
-- The internet is a great tool for musicians and bands,
without it we would have missed so many opportunities. It is also a great
way to stay in touch with all the people who come to see us play live.
