1. If I knew absolutely nothing about Plain White T's,
how would you describe the group’s music to me?
-- We're a catchy, melodic, straight foward pop rock
band.
2. If I were to buy your new album Every Second
Counts, what songs should I pay
particular attention to and why? (You can't say all of them)
-- I would want you to pay particular attention
to the first 2 songs, "Our Time
Now" and "Come Back to Me." "Our Time Now" i think is very unique. We
tried to do
something cool in the bridge of the song that had a Jackson 5 feel. That
was
kind of a stretch for us and it turned out cool. "Come Back to Me" just
happens to be one of my favorite songs on the record.
3. What inspired the band's name?
-- The band name was inspired by what a plain white
tee represents and how
common and simple it is. Everyone wears them and they will never go out
of
style.
4. You tour on a lot of the festival style tours. Have you ever
bumped into a
band that rubbed you the wrong way?
-- We've only done one festival tour which was
Warped. I think the first couple
years we did it we were shy. Last year was awesome. there are bands i
guess
who aren't the greatestof people but i can't say we've had any troubles
with
anyone.
5. What was your worst on stage experience? What
was your best?
-- Worst on stage experiece for me would have to
be when i started playing the
wrong song at our sold out show in our hometown chicago.
It sucked but i soon realized i wasn't playing the right song and switched
right away. The best on stage experience was actually the same night
and
same show. Eventhough i messed up big time, that was the best show we've
ever played. The best part about it was playing a sold out hometown show.
that was the first ever.
