Oppenheimer's new release is the act's attempt at full-on
glam-pop music. What Oppenheimer's fans may not expect is how their sound
is so polished Radio Disney might even think twice about playing something
drenched in so much sheen. Be prepared for sugar diabetes if you plan on
listening to this album for its' full thirty minute run-time. I mean, the
sounds on this CD are so slick and so bubblegum sweet it just might make
you have to get some shots of insulin in order to function again.
The two
artists who make up Oppenheimer are Rocky O., who handles guitar, keyboards,
and vocoder, and Shaun O. who is in charge of vocals and drums. The dance-pop
act was formed in 2004, and has been making records for Bar-None since
2006. The fact that the mix on this CD sounds as if they HAVE taken the midrange
and boosted it notwithstanding, this album is quite good and will no doubt
lead to uncontrollable dancing for all who listen.
